PVM honors Top 5 students in Class of 2025

As graduation approaches, Paul V. Moore High School has announced its Top 5 students in the Class of 2025 — a remarkable group recognized not only for their academic excellence but also for their leadership, kindness and impact on the school and overall community.
Abigail Sundet has earned the title of valedictorian, followed by Zachary Card as salutatorian. Sharing third in class and earning the distinction of co-laureate are Gianna Rabbia and Autumn Quill. Delayna Humphrey was awarded the Superintendent’s Honors for fifth in the class.
“We are incredibly proud of this outstanding group of students,” said Dr. Heidi Sweeney, Executive Principal at Paul V. Moore High School. “They are compassionate, community-focused, and full of character. Their dedication and positivity truly make them shine.”
The Class of 2025 Commencement Ceremony will be held at 6 p.m. on Friday, June 27, at SUNY Oswego’s Marano Campus Center.

Abigail Sundet, Valedictorian (1st in Class)

Elementary School: A. A. Cole Elementary
Extracurriculars: Drama Club, Syracuse Stage's Young Adult Council, Math Team, Cornhole, National Honor Society, The Change
Future Plans: Attend Case Western Reserve University to study Theater and Acting
Career Goals: Professional Actor
Advice to others: “It doesn't matter what other people think of you, it matters what you think of yourself.”
Zachary Card, Salutatorian (2nd in Class)
Parents: Amanda Card/Ken Heffernan, Chad Card/Jamie Card
Elementary School: Millard Hawk Elementary
Extracurriculars: DECA, Volleyball, Work (Dunkin')
Future Plans: Attend RIT in the fall
Career Goals: Mechatronics/Robotics Engineer
Advice to others: “You only live once, so live every day as if it were your last.”
Autumn Quill, Co-Laureate (3rd in Class)
Parents: Gail Quill
Elementary School: A. A. Cole Elementary
Extracurriculars: Horseback Rider, DECA, Student Government, Drama Club, Ski Club, Math Team, IEA (Interscholastic Equestrian Association), 4-H, Irish Dance, Lifeteen (youth group)
Future Plans: Attend SUNY Geneseo to study Spanish Adolescent Education. Additionally, I will be riding in their equestrian team.
Career Goals: To become a high school Spanish Teacher and do Equine Therapy.
Advice to others: “Enjoy every moment, it goes by way too quick - and don’t forget to have a little fun.”
Gianna Rabbia, Co-Laureate (3rd in Class)
Parents: Lisa Rabbia and Mark Rabbia
Elementary School: Brewerton Elementary
Extracurriculars: National Honor Society (Treasurer in 11th grade), Drama Club Sound Manager (Treasurer in 11th and 12th), Math Team, Ski Club (Treasurer 12th grade, President 11th grade), Cornhole Club, Class of 2025 Officers (Co-Treasurer since 9th grade).
Future Plans: Syracuse University to pursue a major in Biomedical Engineering and a minor in Ceramics
Career Goals: I hope to become a biomedical engineer where I will be able to help create new and hopefully better medical devices to help people live better lives. My primary interest in the field at this time is prosthetics but I look forward to wherever this major takes me!
Advice to others: “Don’t underestimate yourself and be confident. With confidence and faith in your abilities you can do anything you want to do with hard work and a passion. If someone else has done it in the past you can do it to, and if no one has done it in the past try to be the first person to do it yourself!”
