Cayuga-Onondaga BOCES is seeking dedicated, outgoing individuals to fill several teacher aide vacancies for the 2025-2026 school year. BOCES will host a Teacher Aide Hiring Event on Thursday, July 10th from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Regional Education Center: 1879 West Genesee Street Road, Auburn NY 13021. On-the-spot interviews will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis.

At BOCES, the teacher aide is a ten-month role with a 35-hour work week. Teacher aides assist teachers in the classroom, work as a member of the classroom team to support students, and establish strong relationships with children and others, among many other duties. To be a teacher aide, candidates must have graduated from high school or possess a high school equivalency diploma, or have completed an appropriate course of instruction for Teacher Aide Training, Child Care Provider Training, Human Services Training, or equivalent.
