Reminder to all students-if you are in a club, organization, athletics, academic events , parking, etc. you are required to fill out a drug form with your signature and your parents. This needs to be turned in asap or you will not be eligible to participate in any activity.
Seniors, do not forget to apply for the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo Scholarship (deadline 1-21-25 and the Guadalupe Blanco River Authority (deadline 1-15-25). These scholarships are online. Please see your google classroom for the information.
Attention 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12 Grade Students! It's time for a Class War! Each grade level will compete each week of this Semester to have the highest Weekly Attendance Rate. If your grade level wins, you earn a point towards an Early Release day for your entire Grade Level in April. Come to school!
Attention all students! Do you want to be exempt from your Final Exams in May? That's easy! Show up to school. You can earn this with good attendance, maintaining good grades, and avoiding discipline issues.
Attention Students! Check your email! It's time for our 2nd Nine Weeks Attendance Incentive which includes Grilled Hotdogs, Nachos, Free Time, and a Dodgeball Tournament. If you had a 96% Attendance Rate in all your classes, you received an email to RSVP to this event. Make sure you complete the Google Form by next Tuesday, January 14th, by 4 PM. You will not be permitted to attend without doing so. Email Mrs. Cardwell with any questions.
Calhoun Sandies Girls Powerlifting participated in the Crossroads Lift-Off meet at VictoriaEast High School on Saturday, January 4, 2025. Calhoun took 1st place overall with 64 points, followed by Victoria East with 35 points. Scoring for the Sandies are as follows: Andrea Henriquez–1st place with a total of 545 lbs, Alexis Gonzales–1st place with a total of 535 lbs, Marta Aguero–2nd place with a total of 645 lbs, Carington Osornia–1st place with a total of 675 lbs, Haley Torres–1st place with a total of 675 lbs, Marley DeSota–2nd place with a total of 630 lbs, Talyiah Hosey–1st place with a total of 785 lbs. Zoeigh Pena–2nd place with a total of 680 lbs, Linda Zamorano–3rd place with a total of 605 lbs, Amy Rico–1st place with a total of 820 lbs, Zariah Carrera–4th place with a total of 660 lbs, Mia Reyna–2nd place with a total of 695 lbs, Zarah Cano–1st place with a total of 945 lbs, Anyiah Garzia–2nd place with a total of 840 lbs, Zailey Cano–1st place with a total of 1135 lbs, Congrats to the following girls who Qualified for Regional: Zailey Cano, Anyiah Garzia, Zarah Cano, Amy Rico, Talyiah Hosey, Haley Torres, Carington Osornia, Marta Aguero and Andrea Henriquez.
