This week is Teacher Appreciation week, take the time to thank you favorite teachers and staff for all that they do for the students and school.
Congratulations to the baseball team for their Bi-District championship they earned this past weekend. They completed a series victory over Needville high school with wins on Saturday by the score of 8–2 and 9–4. The series was highlighted by great pitching, timely hitting, and solid defense. Pitchers were lead by Demetrio Rodriguez, Ricky Martinez, Dane Spencer, Cayson Laredo along with Bo Vickery and Trenton Taylor. Offensively the team collected 22 hits in the series scoring 18 runs. Layten Rodriguez, Jaxon Ondreas, Ethen Ramirez, Cayson Laredo and Angel Morales all contributed with multiple hits apiece. Ricky, with 4, and Demet with 5, lead the way in RBI’s that included 3 doubles g ft or Demetrio and 1 home run and 2 doubles for Ricky.
Tucker Amerson, Alex Parker and Cael Findley added much needed defensive help on the field. The team now moves on to the next round of the playoffs against the Tuloso-Midway Warriors this Thursday and Friday.
Seniors, go to your class of 2025 Google classroom and vote now for the Who's Who to be announced on senior day. Voting will end on Monday, May 12th.
If you are still needing to buy prom tickets, the ladies will be here Wednesday only to sell tickets during the lunches. This will be the last chance to buy them.
It is getting close to the end of the year and if you owe any fines, fees, etc. you will be required to have those paid or cleared up before your exams and especially before you graduate. We will only accept cash-NO CHECKS!! Please start preparing to get your fines paid for as soon as possible.
Yearbooks have arrived! If you reserved a copy of the yearbook, they will be available for pickup in Mrs. Sontag's room A109. If you need to purchase a yearbook, they will be sold during all three lunches this week. The cost is $78 cash or check. Please make checks payable to Calhoun High School.
Students - This is a reminder to check your email everyday. Delete messages not needed and read and respond to important ones.
