Seniors, do not forget to apply for the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo Scholarship (deadline 1-21-25 and the Guadalupe Blanco River Authority (deadline is this Wednesday). These scholarships are online. Please see your google classroom for the information.

Attention 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12 Grade Students! It's time for a Class War! Each grade level will compete each week of this Semester to have the highest Weekly Attendance Rate. If your grade level wins, you earn a point towards an Early Release day for your entire Grade Level in April. Come to school!
Attention all students! Do you want to be exempt from your Final Exams in May? That's easy! Show up to school. You can earn this with good attendance, maintaining good grades, and avoiding discipline issues.
If you are interested in doing UIL Number Sense, Calculator, and/or mathematics please see Mr. Rubac asap in Room A108. If you are going to the UIL Meet in Tuloso Midway on Saturday, February 1st, plese see Mr. Rubac in Room A108 and sign up for Number Sense, Calculator and/or mathematics by this Thursday, January 16th. January 16th is the last day to sign u to go to the UIL meet at Tuloso Midway on Feburary 1st.
Attention Students! Attention Students! Check your email! As of today, only 152 out of the 319 students invited have completed the Google form to RSVP for this Friday's Attendance Incentive which includes Grilled Hotdogs, Nachos, Free Time, and a Dodgeball Tournament during 3rd and 4th Periods. If you had a 96% Attendance Rate in all your classes, you received an email to RSVP to this event. Make sure you complete the Google Form by tomorrow, or Tuesday, January 14th, by 4 PM. You will not be permitted to attend without doing so. Email Mrs. Cardwell with any questions.
Boys Results Rock Port Powerlifting Meet: Shel Htoo 1st place 123 lbs class, total 1,035, Braylon Bubenik 5th place 132lbs class, total 695 lbs, David Varela 1st place 148lbs class, total 1,090, Bryan Ledesma 4th place 148lbs class, total 945lbs, Torre Castillo 3rd place 220 lbs class, total 1,140 lbs, Jake Jenkins 4th place 242 lbs class, total 1,315 lbs, Gavin Chavez 3rd place 275lbs class, total 1,295 lbs.
During the break the Sandies traveled to the Youkum tournament and finished 4th. The Sandies finished with a win and 3 losses. Claire Flores scored a goal had an assist and 3 steals, Daisy Guerrero scored a goal and a steal. Delilah Dowell scored a goal, Avery Kriegel scored a goal, Jaeleigh Campos had 15 steals, Dulce Morales had 10 steals and Jisel Romero with 7 steals. The Sandies soccer team played in the Sweeney tournament and brought home a second place finish. The Sandies had wins over Lamar Consolidated, Wharton a loss to Sweeney. Daisy Guerrero scored 4 goals for the Sandies, Jaeleigh Campos had 2 assist and finished with 21 steals, Bianca Rodriguez had an assist and 6 steals, Nayeli Vargas had 11 steals, Jianna Campos had 10 steals, Dulce Morales had 9 steals. Congratulations to Daisy Guerrero being named to the Blue Cup All Tournament Team. The Sandies open district next Tuesday January 21st at Rice Consolidated.
Student Council is hosting their third blood drive of the year on Wednesday, January 29th. If you are 16 or older and would like to donate to save lives, please sign up using the linked QR code i. Google Classroom or on the posters in the hallway. If you are 16, you must have a signed permission slip at every donation. Permission slips are also on Google Classroom or you can get one from Mrs Anderson in E203.
Seniors...let your parents know that the deadline to submit a recognition ad in the yearbook is February 7th. If parents would like to create a page to give a shout-out to their awesome graduates, they can visit Jostensadservice.com or email Mrs. Sontag.
Seniors who would like to add a quote to their yearbook portrait need to fill out the form in their Google Classroom. Quotes must be school-appropriate or they will be eliminated. Quotes are due no later than today.
Do you want to take the SAT, PSAT, or ACT? Sign up in your Google Classroom today. Juniors can take either the SAT or ACT for free this year. The deadline to sign up for a test is January 24th.
