Seniors, today the Jostens representative will be here during all three lunches and this will be your last chance to buy a cap and gown with cash from him.

The Calhoun Sandies powerlifting participated in the 4A D1 Regional Championship Finals at Bert Ogden Arena on Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2025. The Sandies took 2nd place overall. Scoring for the Sandies was Andrea Henriquez--2nd with 610 lbs, Merin Cortez--2nd with 675 lbs, Alexis Gonzales--4th with 610 lbs, Marley DeSoto-- 3rd with 755 lbs, Carington Osornia--5th with 710 lbs. Brooklyn Delgado--8th with 680 lbs, Haley Torres--4th with 745 lbs, Talyiah Hosey--2nd with 855 lbs, Claire Flores--7th with 595 lbs, Amy Rico-2nd with 890 lbs, Zariah Carrera--4th with 735 lb, Ava Manning--6th with 825 lbs, Brena Pulido 8th with 750 lbs, Zarah Cano--1st with 1020 lbs, Aniyah Garcia--4th with 875 lbs, Mariah Hernandez--5th with 825 lbs and Zailey Cano---1st with 1200 lbs.  Advancing to the State meet will be Andrea Henriquez, Merin Cortez, Marley DeSoto, Carington Osornia, Brooklyn Delgado, Haley Torres, Talyiah Hosey, Amy Rico, Ava Manning, Zarah Cano, Aniyah Garcia and Zailey Cano.

The Calhoun Varsity girls competed in the West Columbia Golf Invitational at Freeport Golf Course on Wednesday. The team finished 4th out of 10 teams  The team was led by Lilly Gossett, who finished 12th out of 60. Team consisted of Bellah Swope, Lyric Lopez, Gracie Kuta, Maci Bryan. Also competing was Kyndra Carriles and Arcana Adame.The JV teams competed in the Sandcrab Bogey Mania tournament at Riverside golf course in Victoria.  The girls were represented by Saige Carter, Lena Menchaca and Linley Brett.  The boys had 2 teams. The gold team finished 3rd, led by Dravyn Garza. The team consisted of Keelan Peppers,  Cameron Bazan, Rystan Darlick, and AJ Olascuga.  The black team finished 9th, they were led by Remington Eure. The team consisted of Cash Shirall, Bryson Harms, Greyson Valenzuell and Noah Perez.

Seniors, this is s reminder that the Victoria Electric Coop online scholarship is due this Saturday, March 1st.  Make sure you submit all documents needed by then.  Also, the Jackson Electric Coop scholarship application is due to Mrs. McCarthy-Vesely by Monday, March 3, 2025.  Do not miss these deadlines.

Seniors, your class favorites have been narrowed down! Please cast your final votes for your class favorites! Final voting ENDS TOMORROW!

Attention Seniors working towards earning Texas College Bridge Certificates - You only have a few weeks left to complete these.  Please see Mrs. Cardwell if you need assistance. 

Do not forget that you only have 3 more Saturdays and 1 Friday to make up attendance hours for the 1st semester.  

Students - This is a reminder to check your email everyday.  Delete messages not needed and read and respond to important ones.
