Advanced Placement Courses (AP)
At BHS, AP coursework is available in fourteen (14) different areas. Students must meet all course prerequisites in order to select these classes. All students enrolled in AP courses are strongly encouraged to take the associated AP examinations. Since a fee is required for each exam (currently $98.00, but subject to change), each student and family must plan for the cost of AP exams if they choose to take themp. Students who receive free or reduced school lunch are eligible for Advanced Placement fee subsidies.
Sophomores may only enroll in one (1) AP course.
Juniors and seniors may enroll in 29.5 credits (or one less semester course) if enrolled in two or more AP courses.
Seniors who enroll in three (3) or more AP courses have the option to enroll in AP Directed Study.
