- Current Burlington Early Childhood Families ...
If your child is currently attending the Burlington Early Childhood Center (BECC), you do not need to complete the registration information as your child is already a registered student with the Burlington Public Schools. We will forward your child’s registration information to their attending school as well as your child’s medical records that we have on file. Please note that when your child turns 5, they will require an updated physical and immunization record to complete their registration.
- Kindergarten Screening ...
The state of Massachusetts (Chapter 766) and federal law (PL 94-142) require that all students are screened as a process to understand the development of all children participating in kindergarten programming. Please keep in mind that the screening is exactly that - just an opportunity to give us a snapshot of what your child is able to demonstrate. This is not in any way a formal assessment of skills or any type of intellectual testing. A screening typically lasts about thirty minutes and will be conducted at your neighborhood school.
In Burlington, we will be conducting our screenings at a date to be determined. We will reach out to all kindergarten-registered families by late spring with specific details including dates, locations, procedures, etc.
