Borger Classroom Teachers Association Announces Scholarship Winners

Three Borger High School students were recently awarded Borger Classroom Teachers Association (B.C.T.A.) Scholarships.

     Every year B.C.T.A. offers scholarships to Borger High School seniors in the amount of $200.00 a semester for a possible maximum of $1,600. One scholarship may be awarded to a BHS student who will be majoring in education.  Two other scholarships may be awarded to a current B.C.T.A member’s child majoring in any field. B.C.T.A. offers the fourth scholarship on an “as needed” basis to a Borger ISD employee in the same amount as above.

     This years’ B.C.T.A members’ winners are Briley Cano and Molly Fite.

     Briley is the daughter of Michael and Abbie Cano.  She will be attending Texas Tech University in the Pre-dental program.

     Mollie is the daughter of Johnny and Melissa Fite.  She will be attending Oklahoma State University majoring in International Business.

     Marc Diaz was awarded the education scholarship. He will be attending West Texas A & M University majoring in Elementary education.   Marc is the son of  Gracie Villescas and Adam Diaz.
