Good morning Forestview Students and Staff:
Today is Day 1
Here are your daily announcements:.
Students: Congratulations to the following student winners of the Elks Writing Contest who wrote essays about "What the Bill of Rights Means to Them." In 6th grade, Gunner Newell won 1st place in the district and 1st place in the state of Minnesota. Gunner took home $450 in winning prize money for his essay. Emily Smith was the 2nd place district winner and William Kottke won 3rd place for the district. In 7th grade, Gravity Adkins was the district winner. In 8th grade, Mullen Bratney took home the hardware for winning 1st place in the district and 1st place in the state of Minnesota. And a congratulations to Sam Porter who won the Daughters of the American Revolution essay for 6th grade. Sam's essay was written about John Phillip Sousa's "Stars and Stripes Forever."

Students: Register now for Maddens Golf Camp beginning in June. Class sizes are limited. For more information, see the golf fliers in your team areas and/or in the carousel outside the main office.
Students: Attention eighth graders, if you are 14 years old you are eligible to sign up for Drivers Education. Community Education has openings for this upcoming summer classes. If you would like more information, you can pick up information in the Community Education office or see Mr. Swenson in Room 2706 on Team 7D.
Students: The Lighthouse project is hosting their annual May event on May 17th! Come help support mental health at Forestview Middle School from 3:00 - 6pm. There will be a top tier mental health speaker with a band, cotton candy, a bounce house, raffle for air pods and pie a teacher in the face for $3, as well as fun games, such as basketball, spike ball, 4 square and volleyball! Come see us after school!!!
Students: The Lakes Area Skatepark has rescheduled their pop-up skatepark session for this Saturday, May 18th from 12-3 at Memorial Park in Brainerd - this is a Free Event! For more information, see fliers posted in the entries to the school.
Students: The Warrior Warehouse will be open today during 7th hour. If you or your family need help with food, toiletries, school supplies, or clothing, please stop by during 7th period and find out how we can help!
Students/Staff: Just a kind reminder, that all library books are due today.
