Parent Sessions

AJHS hosted Lunch and Learn Informational Sessions for parents on March 4 for rising 8th graders and March 5 for rising 9th graders in the AJHS Auditorium.

Information for Rising 10th Grade Students

Current 9th/Rising 10th grade students had Academic Sessions on Wednesday, 2/26 or Thursday, 2/27 with Career Prep classes and counselors to get more information regarding registration. They received blue course selection sheets. PowerSchool course registration begins Monday, March 3rd and will end Thursday, March 6th. Students need to submit registration on PowerSchool, then turn in their blue sheets to their Career Prep teacher. 

Students, AHS has shared the following information about course selection for next year:

• Please see the AHS Course Guide on the AHS homepage under "Our School"
• Make Course Selections using the Request Form--you will get a copy through Career Prep and should return it to Career Prep when you finish making your selections.
• You can watch a video here with instructions from AHS about filling out your AHS Course Request Form. If you have additional questions after watching the video, please email your counselor.
• You can watch a video here with instructions from AHS about entering your course requests into PowerSchool. 

Information for Rising 9th Grade Students

Students need to submit registration on PowerSchool, then turn in their blue sheets to their ELA teacher. 

Students, here is some helpful information about course selection for next year:

• Check the counselors web page for more information.
• Make Course Selections using the Request Form--you will get a copy through ELA and should return it to ELA when you finish making your selections.
• Watch this video for more details about entering your requests into PowerSchool during March 3-6
• If you plan to take advanced courses, please see the attached information about prerequisites. Parent/guardians can also sign a waiver if their student does not meet the prerequisites, but they wish to be in the class. Students will not be allowed to switch out of advanced classes once the waiver and contract are signed.
