Welcome to First Grade at Amelon!
I am very excited about this school year, and I am looking forward to working with you and your child. I will work very hard this year to help your child progress and to be successful.
I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself. I graduated from Liberty University with my bachelor's degree in elementary education. I was a substitute teacher for Amherst County for 8 years, and I completed seven long term substitute positions in several schools in Amherst County over many years before receiving my full time position. This year will be my eighth year of teaching. I taught second grade for two years, and this is my sixth year teaching first grade. I am very excited .
I have lived in Amherst County for over twenty-nine years now. I have four children (Sarah, Adam, Becca and Michael) ranging in age from 21 to 31.
